What is Circos?

Came across an interesting site about creating circos. Well circos means "Circular Data Visualization". It is flexible, script-able, logical and has ruler based data representation. Originally it was used to represent genomic data (bioinformatics), but quite extensively used in other fields (e.g. Advertising) as well.
